Most horrifying is the bottom ad titled "AFRICAN SLAVE TRADE OPENED" by A.H. Forrest & Co, advertising enslaved people "just received from Virginia, South Carolina and Missouri" and promising to "supply all with just such Negroes as they may wish, at any time."
